Buffer Ring & Rod Seals
The Duron® Buffer Ring Seal is a uni-directional rod seal that has a radius lip profile and is energized by an O-ring. This profile provides a high contact pressure footprint to breakdown high pressure hydraulic fluid. The trailing angled seal geometry allows any interstitial leakage of hydraulic fluid that passes the seal not to be wiped off on the retract rod stroke. This improves the leakage rate of the hydraulic rod seal. The buffer seal is recommended to be used in tandem with a secondary seal.
Why use a Duron® Buffer Ring Seals?
